Test Switches

Test Switches | 30 Ampere | 600 Volts AC | Poles | Bases

  • Underwriters Laboratories (UL) available on most Test Switches.
  • Test Switches are built to ANSI C12.9 standards.
  • Test Switches are rated for 30 Ampere at 600 Volts AC.
  • Bases: Glass filled polyester (molded) bases are supplied on standard spacing models. Arboron cut bases are supplied for special larger mounting requirements. Bases offer nontracking, 600 Volt, high strength and superior longevity. Customer provisions are supplied for 1/4” mounting bolts.

Test Switch Handles | Connectors

  • Blades: Copper knife blades provide superior contacts.
  • Blades can be supplied with 45 or 90 degree stops.
  • Test Jack Switch: Copper components provide excellent
  • low resistance for the insertion of a bi-polar plug (Safe-T Plug) to measure current in the circuit.
  • Short Circuit Switch: Copper components with a make before break design for shorting out the current transformer.
  • Neutral Switch: Neutrals can be as a switch or solid thru bar.
  • Handles: Nylon (2) piece ultra-sonic welded handles can be supplied in 9 colors to match the wire color. Split handle colors can be supplied to match the wire and tracer color.
  • Ganged Handles: Handles can be supplied ganged together.
  • Test Ears: Test Ears are supplied as standard with the stud/nut connections. The ears are corrugated for secure clamping of test leads.
  • Connections: Front and Back Connected Test Switches are furnished with 10/32 studs with brass hex nuts (3/8” across flats) as standard.
  • Plating: Test Switches are supplied in bare copper as standard. Plating is available.
  • Reverse Potentials: Potential Switches can be reversed for additional safety when metering 277/480 Volts.
  • Connectors: Box Style Connectors are available.

Test Switch Barriers | Covers 
| Safe-T Plug

  • Barriers: Insulated pop-in barriers are furnished on all potential assemblies having 1” or less spacing to next switch element. Channel Barriers are available.
  • Covers: Covers are available in Clear or Black Lexan. Covers are supplied with mounting studs and wing nuts with provisions for wire seals.
  • Captive Cover Screws: Covers are available with captive thumb wheel screws.
  • Current Safety Plugs: Optional Safe-T-Plugs are available to allow current measurements in the Test Jack Switches.
  • Fuse Holders: 30 or 60 Amp Fuse Holders are available.
